Mayauel Ward Hand Made Glass Art Vase Signed 2004

Description

This striking hand-made glass vase by artist Mayauel Ward of California measures 8 ¾” tall, 4 5/8” in diameter at the widest part, 4 3/8” in diameter at the lip, 2 ½” in diameter at the base and weighs 4 pounds, 7 ounces. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or scratches (see photos). It is signed on the bottom by Mayauel Ward, 2004. Mayauel Ward was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California and started studying to be a physical therapist but after taking a class in glass blowing, he was hooked on glass art. After he graduated from college, he went to work for Correia Art Glass and then Abelman Art Glass, both well-known art glass makers. In 1988, Mayauel started his own glass art business, making various items of progressively more beautiful and complex nature.
